Hello Friends! I am excited and also slightly nervous to bring you my new music page. 😀 Here I’ll be sharing my voice and musical endeavors with you! I started my vocal musical career at the age of 13, shortly after starting piano lessons at age 12. I studied opera intensively, performed into young adulthood, and received my Bachelor’s in music shortly after becoming engaged to my husband Matt. I then became a parish Music Director and supported my family in this way for over 15 years. While I’m not performing operatic arias on stage anymore, I still love the art and it will forever be what brought me to where I am today. More on that later! For now, I’ll leave 3 pieces performed by me at the height of it all, around 13 years ago. My voice type is coloratura soprano, and these performances were for my voice teacher Carl Franzen’s concert, accompanied by the amazing pianist Dmitry Cogen.Â
The Shadow Song from the opera “Dinorah” by Giacomo Meyerbeer:
And this one is a favorite, the Spanish song Estrellita by Manuel Ponce:
And the concert aria Sperai Vicino il Lido by Mozart:
I hope you enjoy these little snippets from my opera years!
More soon,
